Summer breaks are the gaps between your semesters they provide break from your mundane college classes.make it the time to complement everything you get from academics, to complement your classes et cetera.
You get time to gain experience of the things that bring you closer to your goals.

Now, that the break has already started there are certain things mentioned below if you follow them  you will have a great summer break!

1) GET CREATIVE
College summer breaks can be the perfect time to learn a new musical instrument or revive your interest in art and craft.
You can try your hand at creative writing, you never know what all talents are lurking inside.
You can also take photography classes and hone your photo taking abilities.

2) READ BOOKS
Try to finish off atleast four books, you’ve wanted to read, this summer.
You can pick up any magazine also and develop a reading habit.
Reading of newspaper is equally important because not only you get command over the language but also get an idea about what is happening around you.

3) PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
It’s the best time of the year to join yoga classes or a gym to get in shape and maintain your health.
If you love music and dancing you can join a dance class (an added advantage is that you can sing while you dance and that would give you the feeling as if you are performing on screen, LEL)
You can also beat the heat by diving into the swimming pool. (Thinking of a swimming pun but couldn’t come up with one thank God atleast that was rhyming
Oh my, my what a timing!)

4) DO NOTHING and STILL SOMETHING
Grab some snacks and select some of the famous TV/Web series to binge watch.
Movie marathon is equally fun, just note down the name of the movies you have always wanted to watch and watch them one after the another.
You can also try playing new video games.

5) GO OUT
You can act like a tourist in your own town and explore the yet to be explored places in your town. You’ll love it, trust me.
You can also go camping with your friends (who are also in town and getting bored just like you).
PS: don’t forget to take a lot of snacks, water, board games and other outdoor games’ equipments with you.

6) EXPERIMENT IN THE KITCHEN
Impress your family members by cooking something delicious.
You can learn how to cook from YouTube. It is certainly the best thing you can do because once it’s done not only you learn a new recipe but also have something to eat.
As it has been rightly said, ” Women belong in the kitchen, Men belong in the kitchen, Everybody belongs in the kitchen because kitchen has food and food is EVERYTHING!”

7) GET A FUNKY HAIRCUT
This one’s for people with long hair, short hair, and every type of hair
Just go on and experiment with your present hairstyle because why not?
Afterall they will grow and get back to shape if left un-cut (obviously!). So, muster up the courage to look different (and don’t forget to upload your profile picture, later on)

8) GET AN INTERNSHIP
Start by building your résumé. Include all your achievements (big and small) in it.
Make it Crisp, Clear and Concise.
Once it is done send it to the companies you like.
Follow up with the employer and show them that you are interested. Make use of
Sites like Internshala and letsIntern.

9) SET YOURSELF FOR SUCCESS
Get a head start on your fall classes.
Collect the syllabi beforehand and note down the names of the suggested authors whose books you’ll need to study in the upcoming semesters.
This will definitely give you a competitive edge over others.
You can also take an online course.
You will not have to go out in this heat
and you can learn a new skill online (by being at home).
These skills will help you, later, in getting employed.
